A significant part of his training was completed in the United Kingdom where he obtained his FRCS & MCh Orth qualifications.

Dr. Sarup is first qualified pediatric orthopedic surgeon who set up practice in Delhi. He started the Pediatric Orthopedic Unit at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in 2004. He developed the pediatric orthopedic and spine division at Medanta Medicity in 2009 where he was heading this specialty.
He has a special interest in Congenital Hip Dislocations, Club foot Deformity and Scoliosis correction.
